I captured three figures on a beach while photographing the landscape. The moment I saw the photograph, I thought that the people on the photo might have been a family. I started questioning my own preconceived ideas about what a visual representation of a family is. Why was that my first thought? By calling this work a visual assumption, I left it to the viewer to continue this search. The anonymous people assumed to be a family stand in front of us questioning our own ideas of what a family is and what its visual representation is.
